As already elsewhere stated, it's really fun to do paintings of childhood. Swimming and swimming jumps, especially the crazier and more painful ones, were among the nicest things in childhood. Among my circle of friends, we were experts in the category of painful and embarrassing jumps. A jump titled "Flying Coffin" has particularly stuck to my mind. It was a jump you couldn't repeat many times a day.

Naturally you can find a lot of metaphorical in this painting, as well. That guided the choice of strong colours and cloud forms which, combined with their tones, create a sense of "other-wordliness".
