Oilpainting on 24 x 32 cm mdf board, requires a frame
I started this painting as a plein air but froze my butt off sitting on a rock in the shade of, ehm, June. It really was that cold. Luckily I got the underpainting done there in an hour, I then had to continue this at home from reference. This painting has nothing to do with the movie of the same name—I haven't even seen it although I hear it's great.
There were a couple of youngters fishing about. They were so fast that I didn't get them into the photo, so this one is from my memory but I think he came out quite nicely.
I was after a painterly feel, and I also like how the crudely (this time) laid-out gesso somewhat shows through—but not in such horrible stripes as in this photo. It is, once again, thanks to iPhone's overpowering Lidar-sensor. I wish they'd do something about it and their overly aggressive image processing. (I always take these photos in RAW format but even that won't save the image from a lot of artificial processing.)
From this one, too, there'll be a Youtube tutorial video, focusing on the plein air side of things. I'll add the link here and there will also be a direct viewing window in "Media" menu above.
