The excellent phone app called Plantnet identified the flower in my painting which makes me a bit proud, at least I got something right. It's actually a small tree with these peculiar parts. Years ago I took the photo serving as source for this. It's taken with a zoom objective to create this powerful bokeh effect: even leaves that are quite close to each other appear sharp with variation, whereas the background is rendered completely blurry, reduced to beautiful hues of green. The colours quite literally screamed for me to try and paint this one.
