Oil colour on 46 x 55 cm prefab canvas.
In a way this painting, too, continues my series of climber's dream-come-true mountains or climbs. But as a matter a fact, there's a photo of my friend taken on our climbing trip to French Alps in Chamonix that served as source. I can imagine that the out-of-the-clouds, jutting peaks in the background may look a bit "unreal" to some but they were very real indeed. In some other ways I've taken liberties with this one.
The personal nature of these climbing paintings makes them particularly pleasant to work with and I believe I'll push this endeavour further with many works to come. It's also a very pleasant thought to land some commission from a fellow climber, to try and portray one of their most precious moments.
