My art has really been hit by a hurry, mostly at work but also otherwise. I had this commission ready for Mothers' Day which means already a couple of weeks ago, but I never had the time to publish it here before this. What made me realize this was a heart-warming recommendation text from the commissioner, to be used anywhere I see fit. This kind of feedback surely feels the best and motivates me to paint these commissions. Therefore, thanks for the kind words!

"This Mothers' Day I decided to surprise my mother in a bigger way and I commissioned this artwork about us two, as a present for her from artist Arto Järvinen. I chose Arto to produce the work since in his artworks he depicts women freshly, as actors instead of rigid models and artificial expressions. My thought was to choose an everyday reference photo in which even some tiredness can be seen in my mother's eyes, instead of some insane posing—to describe the beauty and reality of the moment. This theme would then combine traditional oilpainting and a sense of fresh reality. Considering the smudgy old photo as reference, in my opinion Arto succeeded excellently. In addition, our cooperation was fluent and considerate toward the small wishes I had to add for the work's completion. I can warmly recommend Arto!"
