In addition to being a climber, my friend is a pro highliner as well, and the source photo for this was taken of him crossing a very long and high one over beautiful lake Saimaa (in eastern Finland). What made the event even more memorable for him was this amazing rainbow that appeared at that exact moment. They named the highline Saimaa Dreaming, so there really couldn't be a better title for the painting either.

The source photo, taken in harsh lighting conditions on a phone, left a lot to be desired and despite both our editing attempts was strongly pixelated and contrasty. I had to do a lot of interpreting of what I actually see there and to make more bold decisions than is to my liking. Fortunately that was enough for the commissioner, so a big thank you for the opportunity and for your patience, Markus! Long covid has been affecting my painting for two years but things are looking brighter now...
