Midsummer Night on Sommarøy

Yet another atmospheric piece from my own photo. Sommarøy is located a bit to the Northwest from the city of Tromsø, right above Senja island in Northern Norway. In 2008 we visited this island that is popular for summer vacationing among the Norse. We pitched our tent next to a beach and enjoyed a private swim dodging medusas, in cold Atlantic water. Nightless night illuminated our shivering evening meal but luckily we had some wine, too, for warmth.

Once again I'm aiming at quite speedy finish with this painting, thus there won't be much worry about details. The tones and the mood, on the other hand, I hope to get right.
